The Adamawa State Police Command has announced that the physical and credential screening for candidates shortlisted in the ongoing Nigeria Police Force constable recruitment will hold from March 9 to April 18, 2026.


Spokesperson of the Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday in Yola.


According to the statement, the screening exercise is for Adamawa State indigenes who successfully completed the online registration for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force.


The exercise will take place at Karewa Police Children School, Police Barracks, Yola North, starting 7:00 a.m. daily.


“The Adamawa State Police Command announces the commencement of the Physical and Credential Screening Exercise for Adamawa State indigenes who have successfully completed the online registration for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Police Constables,” the statement said.


“The exercise is scheduled to run from Monday, March 9, 2026, to Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Karewa Police Children School, Police Barracks, Yola North, by 7:00 a.m. daily.”


Applicants are required to appear for the screening dressed in white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings.


The Command warned that candidates who fail to comply with the dress code or appear outside their scheduled dates will not be screened.


Applicants are also expected to present the following documents:


1.Invitation slip


2.Application submission slip


3.Physical screening form


4 .Credential screening form


5.National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card


6.Academic credentials


The Command urged all applicants to cooperate with officials and prepare adequately for both the physical and credential screening to ensure a smooth recruitment process.


The recruitment exercise follows the directive of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to strengthen the nation’s security architecture through increased enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force, the military, and other paramilitary agencies.


The Nigeria Police Force is expected to recruit 50,000 personnel into the constable cadre under the ongoing exercise.
